Biography: Faye Rauw

?

Faye Rauw hails from Humboldt, Saskatchewan where she started dancing at the age of 4. She has traveled extensively around the world dancing professionally, teaching workshops, performing for various dance companies as well as performing for Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. She is one of Canada’s high demand dance judges, teachers and choreographers, traveling as far as Australia to judge their National Dance Championships. 

Professionally, Faye has had the pleasure of working with the likes of Marlon Wayans, Charo, Ben Vereen, as well as Rob Marshall and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the Oscar & Golden Globe winning movie, “CHICAGO“. Her acting credits have been seen on “MONK”, Walt Disney’s “The Sixth Man” along with various commercials and Canadian feature films.  She has performed in a number of dance companies across Canada & US and, as far as Finland.  Faye can be seen as one of the video dancers in U2’s “Vertigo” tour 2005.  Last winter, Faye was fortunate to film the CBC/BRAVO dance movie, “Roxana” with Greta Hodgkinson from the National Ballet of Canada and Rex Harrington. Most recently, Faye finished filming the movie “HAIRSPRAY” in Toronto with John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer and Queen Latifa.

Her choreography credits span from stage to stage, choreographing for such sporting leagues as the NBA, AHL, and CFL as well as the Inaugural Steve Nash Charity Classic 2005. On stage, her works can be seen in KING DAVID The Musical, the stage tour for CANADIAN THUNDER, the Canadian product launch for Brittney Spears fragrance, CURIOUS and recording artist, Kristine W. 

As a renowned teacher, choreographer and adjudicator, Faye is an alumni ambassador for Lululemon athletic wear due to her parallel vision with the companies positive and healthy lifestyle. She teaches at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and OIP Dance Center in Toronto. Faye’s workshop faculty credits include Triple Threat Dance Convention, The Dance Project, Drop Dance Intensive, Dance Dance Canada, Fame Fitness Exposition and is pleased to have the opportunity to travel to various studios across Canada to host her own workshops. 

Faye started teaching at the age of 15 in Saskatchewan and has maintained her teaching capabilities all through her professional career bringing her professional experiences into the studio to share with her students. She has been adjudicating dance festivals and competitions for several years within North America & Australia. “It’s amazing what you learn from watching!”  Faye’s passion to educate, motivate, and perform make her an inspiration to work with.
