Biography: Kyrsten Blair

Hip Hop

Kyrsten Blair has been an independent dancer, choreographer, and teacher for over ten years. Current credits include Solocentric Festival, Sage Theatre, EKO Dance Projects, Alberta Dance Explosions, Aftershocks, One Yellow Rabbit’s Sky High Cabaret, and the Mutton Busting festival.

When not choreographing and performing new work, Kyrsten teaches contemporary dance for the Siksika Nation & the University of Calgary, musical theatre for Master’s Academy & College, as well as funk/hip hop, jazz, and yoga for Decidedly Jazz Danceworks. Aside from working in Alberta, Kyrsten studied Indonesian dance in Java, and aerial apparatus in Boulder, Colorado.
