Biography: Sharon Wehner

Sharon Wehner is Artistic Director of the Sharon Wehner Dance Society, as well as a choreographer, performer and designer. In addition to her own works, she has performed with Anna Wyman Dance Theatre and the Judith Marcuse Dance Company. Her solo work has been televised and she has conducted workshops in Canada and at the Glastonbury Festival and in London, England. Her latest work, Oh, That My Heart Might Open and My Eyes Might See, was a contemporary ballet created for Ballet British Columbia’s Mentor Program students, for which she served as choreographer as well as props and costume designer. Sharon is currently the Board Chairperson for the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists/BC Chapter.
