Dance Manitoba Publications

As part of our mandate to promote dance and dance education and the development of the art form in our province, Dance Manitoba provides information and resources to the dance community and general public through its publications. 

Footlights Newsletter

Our newsletter Footlights is published bi-monthly. Subscriptions are included with membership dues.
The newsletter includes:

• Dance Manitoba program information
• Articles on conferences and workshops
• Profiles of Manitoba dance groups and individuals
• Listings of education and job opportunities
• Calendar of upcoming events.

This is an important link of communication with the community, and is a fundamental service of Dance Manitoba. Article suggestions or submissions are welcomed. Member groups are encouraged to inform Dance Manitoba of upcoming events for inclusion in the dance Calendar.

Dance Directory

The Provincial Dance Directory is a comprehensive listing, by region, of dance artists, teachers, groups, schools, and associations. Published bi-annually, this document was updated in December 2004 and provides a valuable resource on dance participants in the province. The Provincial Dance Directory will next be updated in winter of 2007. Members may include listings in the Directory at no additional cost. Non-members are encouraged to include a listing for a nominal administrative fee.
